Top-Shelf Development has been working with Youth and Adult Hockey Players all over Central Texas Since 2011. All private lessons and camps are designed and led by Coach Amin Elaguizy. Upon moving to Central Texas in May of 2010, Coach Amin knew he could not walk away from the game he loves. He began by coaching Chaparral Ice’s Learn to Skate/Learn to play program. Amin was approached by many parents and players asking for private lessons. During this time, Amin noticed there were quite a few programs in place for the recreational player, but there was not much available for the top players in Central Texas to develop their game during the off season.

 

Top-Shelf Development hosted their first off-season hockey camp in the spring of 2012. Top-Shelf Development is devoted to providing the tools and resources a player needs to develop their game and play at the next level. On the ice, we focus on fast-paced, up-tempo training that pushes the player out of their comfort zone. Other camps work on individual skating, passing, shooting and stick-handling skills. Top-Shelf is focused on all these while also increasing the player’s hockey knowledge. Whether it is Defensive zone positioning, offensive fore-checks, checking/body contact or basic puck protection, we cover it all. The training doesn’t stop there, off the ice, we focus on muscle endurance, strength training and the importance of nutrition.
